Sumuhurta Privacy Policy
Sumuhurta is designed to work without an account, a developer-operated server, advertising, tracking, or analytics. Colorblast LLC does not receive your birth details, location, calendar events, chart, or daily windows.
Scope and short version
This policy applies to the Sumuhurta iOS app and its widgets. Sumuhurta processes its app data on your device. Colorblast LLC does not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to track you across apps or websites.
Information kept on your device
When you personalize Sumuhurta, the app stores the birth date, birth time or time range, and birth place you enter. It uses those details on your device to calculate your chart and windows. The app also stores notification preferences, a trial marker, purchase-entitlement state supplied by StoreKit, and the most recent travel location needed to keep local sunrise and sunset calculations current.
Sumuhurta shares the profile snapshot, entitlement state, trial end, and viewing-place information needed by its widget through Apple's App Group storage on your device. This information remains in the app's local container and is not sent to Colorblast LLC.
Location
If you allow When-In-Use location access, Sumuhurta requests reduced location accuracy by default. It rounds any coordinate it receives to an approximately 1 km grid before using or storing it to determine whether you have traveled far enough to require a new sunrise-to-sunrise calculation. That coarse viewing place may be retained locally so the widget can show the same calculation. You may decline permission and use the birth place you selected instead. You can later revoke access in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Location Services → Sumuhurta. Sumuhurta does not transmit location to Colorblast LLC or an advertising or analytics provider.
Optional Calendar access
If you turn on Meetings on the day line, Sumuhurta asks for Calendar permission and reads event start and end times on your device to draw faint availability marks. It does not retain event titles, notes, locations, attendees, calendar names, or other event content, and it does not transmit calendar data to Colorblast LLC or another provider. Calendar access is off by default, is not required for the app's timing calculations, and can be denied or revoked in iOS Settings. Turning the feature off removes the meeting marks.
Purchases and notifications
Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Sumuhurta reads Apple's verified entitlement on your device; Colorblast LLC does not operate a payment server for the app and does not receive your payment-card details. Notifications are optional and scheduled locally by iOS. They contain only the window time and purpose shown in the app. The optional evening bookend is scheduled for 9pm only when enabled and when tonight has no later window. The window Live Activity is also created and updated locally when the running app opens near a window; it uses no remote push or developer server.
Network access, tracking, and third parties
Sumuhurta's chart calculations and bundled city search run offline. The app contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, account system, or cross-app tracking technology. Apple may process App Store purchases, device backups, diagnostics you choose to share with Apple, and operating-system services under Apple's Privacy Policy. Links to support or email open services outside Sumuhurta; information you submit there is governed by those services as well as the support paragraph below.
User-directed sharing
Sumuhurta does not collect the share card or transmit it on its own. Long-press Share creates an image containing the date, window range, quality, and Sumuhurta wordmark—not your birth details, location, or calendar information. The image stays on your device unless you choose a destination in Apple's share sheet. That destination receives the image and handles it under its own privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Your profile remains on the device until you choose Start over in Sumuhurta's Settings or remove the app. Start over deletes the birth profile, locally cached viewing place, shared widget snapshot, and pending Sumuhurta notifications; it does not erase Apple's purchase records or the Keychain trial marker. The trial start is stored in the iOS Keychain so reinstalling the app does not restart the fourteen-day trial, and iOS may preserve that entry after app deletion. Purchase records remain subject to Apple's retention rules. Device settings and backups may also retain local app data according to your Apple configuration.
Support messages
If you contact support, Colorblast LLC receives the email address and other information you choose to send in that message. It is used to answer or resolve the request and retained only as reasonably needed for that correspondence, security, and applicable legal obligations. Do not include birth details or other sensitive information in a support email. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the address below, subject to any retention required by law.
Security
Sumuhurta relies on Apple's app sandbox, Keychain, App Group, device-passcode, and backup protections as applicable to your device. No security measure is perfect, but keeping app data on the device limits the data Colorblast LLC could access in the first place.
Children
Sumuhurta is not directed specifically to children. The app does not create accounts or transmit personal information to Colorblast LLC. If a child sends a support message, a parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion of that correspondence.
Changes
If Sumuhurta's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy answers will be updated before the changed version is released. The effective date above identifies the current version.
